REPA - Turkish Wind Energy Potential Atlas
REPA is the project of developing Turkish Wind Energy Potential Atlas and its related software package. Within REPA Software Package, Turkish Wind Atlas was formed using weather estimate and wind flow models covering land, sea and lake areas, supported with background layer maps to calculate wind energy potentials. The output data were presented visually and digitally using a GIS based software module. REPA Software Package was compiled in such a way that it could be run on a CD enabling every GIS calculation while supporting publication of output data on Web environment.
With the finalization of REPA, ETC-IS has pioneered a revolutionary project, presenting its expertise in information technologies into energy sector. Wind source data, evaluated with layers maps are used to generate wind energy potential reports.
EOCTR Emergency Management Simulator
EOCTR Emergency Management Simulator is a web based simulator developed to meet the training requirements of Emergency Management Center personnel. Various emergency scenarios can be created using EOCTR and as a part of these scenarios emergency management trainings can be implemented on satellite images.
The purpose of EOCTR is to provide an efficient training environment that could develop intervention capabilities of Emergency Management Center personnel on virtual emergency scenarios before real world emergencies occur. Specifically a training environment that could develop situational awareness skills that is necessary in emergency management field is aimed at.
EOCTR reflects resources and elements appropriate to the structure of Emergency Management Center in which the training will be held. Institutions, teams, equipment, vehicles and materials related to Emergency Management Center together with city infrastructure elements are transferred to EOCTR to be used in scenarios. Thereby trainings are performed through real elements.
